Established in 2006[1], Scottish Health Action on Alcohol Problems (SHAAP) is a tax-payer funded organisation (solely by grants from the Scottish Government[2]) which is a partnership of the Medical Royal Colleges in Scotland and the Faculty of Public Health and is based at the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh (RCPE)[2].
